The panorama of the Italian crowdfunding is enriched by a new player. This is Italia Capitalis Srl, owner of ItaliaBond.it platform. CONSOB has been authorised, with the Bank of Italy’s favourable opinion, to operate as a portal for the placement of bonds and debt securities.
In view of the complexity of the authorisation investigation, there have been multiple actors in the field. The Governance of Italia Capitalis, that is, the management of the authorization investigation was carried out by the founder and CEO of Italia Capitalis, Giuseppe Conte (pictured), flanked by the Board of Directors of which they are part Gianluca Legierifor ten years Consob official, currently responsible for compliance and risk manager of the Italian SGR Investment Fund and Stefano Maria Grassi, CEO to the development of the business, with previous experiences from Director General in important banks and financial institutions. ItaliaBond.it is the investment crowdfunding platform developed and managed by Italia Capitalis and focuses on the placement of minibonds, up to a maximum amount of € 5 million per year per issuer.
Italia Capitalis was born in 2023 from an idea of the entrepreneur Giuseppe Conte, active in the field of jewellery and precious raw materials through the companies he founded and administered Count Diamonds and Diamonds Italy, with the aim of facilitating and making more efficient the process of finding funds for Italian companies that need to finance themselves in order to pursue growth objectives, putting in place medium- to long-term development plans.
